League Manager Association committee member Sam Allardyce has played down speculation Martin O'Neill could not have taken the Celtic job because of his role as chairman. It comes as the original timeline for appointed WIlfried Nancy has gone public.
O’Neill was in charge of the Hoops for the final time during the 1-0 win over Dundee last week, and would land a new punditry gig just days later as his former side Aston Villa faced Arsenal.
