CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Weather Advisory for southern West Virginia from late Thursday night until early Friday afternoon.

Meteorologists said the clipper system could leave behind 1 to 4 inches of snow with the southern coalfields getting closer to the four inch mark.

The Charleston-Huntington corridor could be looking at 1 to 3 inches.

The advisory is posted for 10 p.m. Thursday to 1 p.m. Friday.
