BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Even after four years, some members of the community are still recovering from the effects of the December 2021 tornadoes.
The Center for Accessible Living is helping these victims get back on their feet and find the resources that they need. The Center for Accessible Living helps advocate for victims of the tornado and helps them get items they may need to help their daily lives.
They also help them find housing and the proper resources that will help make everyday living easier.
For Mahira Besic, someone who lost everything in the tornadoes, they have helped her find housing and provided her with a wheelchair accessible ramp.
Besic still has a ways to go in getting the things she needs, but she is grateful for what the center has provided her.
