Dajuan Wagner, who finished with 3,462 career points in a fabulous career at Camden, holds the state’s all-time scoring record.
Peyton Wejnert, who started his career at Point Pleasant Boro and played his final two seasons at Southern, finished with an even 2,000 points.
In between the two, there is a list of terrific scorers who dominated in their own right. That list includes Wagner’s son, DJ, who scored his 2,000th point for Camden in 2023.
Since the late 1950’s, when the first New Jersey high school boys basketball player was credited with scoring 2,000 career points, there have been 110 players who have reached the coveted plateau, according to data collected by NJ Advance Media.
Take a look below at the list as we get into the first full week of the 2025-26 season.
