KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI — Ben Martin invited Comstock voters to sign recall petitions against his fellow board members at his business, Soil Friends.
Now, he too could be recalled.
“If enough signatures are gathered, I’m at peace with that,” Martin said previously. “I’ll step forward with the same determination, honesty and hope I had the first time.”
The Kalamazoo County Election Committee met Thursday, Dec. 11, at 201 W. Kalamazoo Ave. to review 11 recall petitions for Supervisor Martin, Treasurer Sandy Bloomfield and Trustee Terry Amos.
The commission’s responsibility is to determine if the wording is clear and factually true, not its validity, County Probate Judge Curtis Bell said.
It approved 10 of the 11 petitions filed.
Approved petition language is valid for 180 days, Kalamazo
