Sherrone Moore is expected to be arraigned Friday on charges that have yet to be specified as the fired Michigan coach remained in police custody Thursday.
The Pittsfield Charter Township (Mich.) Department of Public Safety issued a news release Thursday afternoon updating the status of the Moore case.
Moore was in custody in Washtenaw County Jail after being taken into custody Wednesday, soon after his dismissal as Wolverines head coach. The Pittsfield department said the "investigation is ongoing and under review" by prosecutors.
