The Michigan Wolverines are going to be in the market for a new head coach after firing Sherrone Moore on Wednesday afternoon.

Moore was terminated for cause after an investigation found substantial evidence about an inappropriate relationship with a member of his staff. After being terminated, Moore was detained by police in Michigan responding to an assault call – he remains in custody without charges while the investigation proceeds.

This is a horrific look for Michigan, who is now plagued with yet another scandal.

The Wolverines should be targeting a high-profile college football coach. While Moore was probably an unfit replacement for Jim Harbaugh, Michigan will now have to distract fans and recruits from the public fallout from his firing and arrest.
