On Thursday at 5 p.m. the National Weather Service released a winter storm watch valid from Saturday 1 p.m. until Sunday 1 p.m. for Washington, Greene, Westmoreland and Fayette counties.

The weather service says, "Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 7 inches with locally higher amounts possible."

"Plan on slippery road conditions," explains the weather service. "Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation."
