Scammers are always looking for ways to separate people from their money, personal information or other valuables for personal gain — and the holiday season is no exception.

While the holidays are often hailed as the season of giving, scammers seize the opportunity to take and deceive — often from unknowing victims who believe they are helping a legitimate cause.

In an effort to warn the public of common schemes fraudsters use around the holidays, the Better Business Bureau compiled its very own “Naughty List.”
