CALIFORNIA — The PG&E Foundation has stepped up to support local food banks and meal programs with a $250,000 donation this holiday season. This aid targets communities within PG&E’s service area, including $38,240 allocated to eight food banks in Northern California.
According to the PG&E Foundation , the funds were given to the California Association of Food Banks, which then distributed them to local food banks. This contribution follows an earlier donation of $1.12 million this fall, addressing the heightened demand for food assistance.
“An increasing number of families today are struggling to put food on their tables, and we are grateful to be able to help,” said Joe Wilson, vice president of PG&E’s North Valley & Sierra Region.
