Massachusetts residents should brace themselves on Thursday night, as temperatures are set to plummet across the state while high winds rip through the region.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the entire state from 10 a.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday, forecasting gusts of 35 to 50 mph into Friday morning.

Temperatures are expected to reach a low of 21 degrees in Boston, with Springfield and Worcester dropping below 20 degrees. Pittsfield and Berkshire County will go even lower, bottoming out around 13 degrees with a slight chance of snow showers. Cape Cod & the Islands will stay slightly warmer in the low-20s.
