COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio’s marijuana billboard ban will not likely survive a legal challenge, a Cleveland-based First Amendment attorney wrote in a letter to state officials, because the state cannot select which product advertising to prohibit and which ones to allow.

A state panel on Monday allowed an Ohio Division of Cannabis Control rule to go into effect barring advertising on billboards, on the TV, radio and social media, in stadiums and arenas, on public transit or in a public transit shelter, among other locations.
