Athletics and fine arts are facing possible elimination as Mount Healthy City Schools deals with what's described as a 'fiscal emergency' by its superintendent.
District leaders meet Thursday evening to consider options to get finances on track, including placing a levy on the May 2026 ballot. Advertisement
Parent Diana Irving, who has two students enrolled in the school district, advocates for extracurricular activities to be funded.
"If you get rid of football and basketball, how many more kids do you think are going to be out here without something to do after school?" she said.
