Delhi government has instructed civic authorities in the Capital to adopt a framework to implement a full ban on repeated road excavation. The decision was made at a high-level review meeting chaired by the CM on Thursday with officials from the Public Works Department, Municipal Corporation of Delhi( MCD), Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Delhi Jal Board and the Delhi Traffic Police. Once a road is built, excavation should be permitted only in emergency situations, the departments were instructed by the government.
