Moline’s Riverside Park to get mini-pitch soccer system thanks to grant

MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - Moline’s Riverside Park will be getting a new addition.

Moline Parks and Recreation was selected as one of 25 recipients, out of 900 applicants nationwide, to receive a $50,000 T-Mobile Hometown Grant, city leaders said. The grant will be used to install a Musco Mini-Pitch Soccer System at Riverside Park to expand recreational opportunities for the city.

Moline currently has two, dual-purpose mini-pitch systems at Stephens Park, city leaders said. The new system will be installed at Riverside Park and will be dedicated solely to soccer.
