Jacksonville elementary principal’s resignation not tied ‘solely or directly’ to custodian’s arrest, official says

The Monday resignation of a Jacksonville elementary school principal "should not be tied solely" to the October arrest of a janitor at her school on a sexual assault charge, a Jacksonville/North Pulaski School District spokeswoman said Thursday, a day after saying the two events were connected.
