A man with a gun concerned residents in Harker Heights, but police said he was not doing anything illegal.

A user on the social media website NextDoor posted a photo of a man walking through a trailer park with a shotgun over his shoulder, saying that he needed to be evaluated.

However, in an email to KDH News, a Harker Heights Police Department spokesman said that it was determined the man was committing no crimes.

“Officers assessed the situation and determined the male was not committing any violations of law and there was no immediate threat to the community,” Commander Randy Stefek said. “The male was subsequently released with no further incident.”
