Alabama football will start SEC play especially early this season.

The Crimson Tide will travel to Kentucky in the second game of the season, the SEC announced Thursday as part of its schedule reveal on SEC Network.

Then Alabama will return home with a chance to avenge the 2025 loss to Florida State.

Other schedule highlights include Georgia traveling to Alabama on Oct. 10, Texas A&M on Oct. 24 and Vanderbilt on Oct. 14. The other rivalry games, Tennessee, LSU and Auburn, are in their typical schedule slots.

As for this season, Alabama will face Oklahoma on Friday, December 19 (7 p.m. CT, ABC/ESPN) in Norman, Oklahoma in the first round of the 12-team playoff. If the Crimson Tide wins that game, it will advance to the Rose Bowl to face No. 1 seed Indiana.
