As Christmas approaches, I am reminded of the joy in saying Merry Christmas. It is more than a seasonal phrase, it is a wish for peace, kindness, and goodwill that transcends differences.
Some prefer Happy Holidays, recognizing the many celebrations that fill December—Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Year’s, and more. Others hold fast to Merry Christmas, cherishing its tradition. The truth is that both greetings spring from the same spirit: a desire to share joy and extend goodwill.
