PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A homicide investigation is underway after two people were found dead inside a Pierce County home on Dec. 11, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office (PCSO). The suspect is still on the run.
Deputies responded to the area of Herron Boulevard on Herron Island earlier this afternoon for a welfare check on a man and a woman who had not been seen for the last one to four days, according to PCSO Deputy Carly Cappetto.
Inside the home, deputies found the two people dead from "obvious homicidal violence," Cappetto said. Officials confirmed the deaths were not a murder-suicide.
Deputies are investigating the incident as a homicide. No suspects have been arrested.
