FARGO — When Fargo Davies was in need of a goal last season, it often looked to Carter Salberg.

After all, the then-junior was one of the Eagles' leading goal scorers right behind current linemate Kasen Currence.

Salberg appears to be on pace for another high-production year, as the senior captain scored three goals Thursday to lead Davies to a 6-2 victory over West Fargo in an East Region boys hockey game played at Farmers Union Insurance Center.

Salberg's hat trick put the forward at six goals through five games this season. He chipped in an assist to complete a four-point night.

"Awesome," Salberg said. "Just good to get the win."

It was Davies' third win of the season as the Eagles improved to 3-2 overall.
