DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Have you heard of Ice Bocce? it’s a sport that creators hope becomes popular here in the Northland.

We’re told it takes the best parts of bocce ball, curling and shuffleboard. While it’s typically played on ice, you can try it out on a sandy indoor setup at the DECC’s Arrowhead Ice Fishing and Winter Show this weekend.

Here’s how it works: two teams battle it out tossing their disc down the lane. The goal is to get closest to the target to score points or you want to bump opponents away from the target.

Tracy Scott, the World Icebocce Association Commissioner says it’s a sport that doesn’t take a specific skill set and is great for all ages.
