Luxury cruise business Panache Cruises is planning to expand internationally after securing a £2.75m refinance deal with HSBC UK.

The Lancashire company was founded in 2020 by James Cole, who said at the time that he believed the cruise sector would grow back bigger and better than ever after its enforced pause during the pandemic.

Mr Cole says Panache saw turnover grow 64% in the last 12 months, and he hopes it will report revenues of more than £50m by the end of its current financial year in May 2026.

It opened an office in the USA last year and is now planning to use the HSBC funding to help it to open offices in Canada and Australia next year, as well as to recruit new staff at its Chorley base.
