HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The First Alert Weather team has declared that Sunday and Monday will be FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAYS for all islands except Hawaii Island.
This decision comes as a cold front is set to bring heavy rainfall and scattered thunderstorms for the western half of the state.
As of Thursday evening, a weak cold front has moved across Kauai, Oahu, and Maui County. This weak front created scattered showers and overcast skies for the western half of the state.
The next front, however, will be much stronger and could lead to active weather from Sunday into the middle of next week.
Ahead of the front’s arrival, expect winds to become more southerly. These southerly winds will be breezy on Saturday, settling in at speeds around 10-15 miles per hour. These breezy Kona winds
