LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - As the holidays draw near, many around Lincoln will be stopping by the usual light displays scattered across town. But for one couple’s home, this year’s extravagant arrangement will be their last show.
Just east of Lincoln, the Bayer family has spent decades developing a Christmas lights display that would make Clark Griswold proud.
“A neighbor was driving by one time and called me, said ‘Hey Clark!’ and I forgot who he was talking about,” Russ Bayer said.
His wife, Gwen, also remarked on his escapades lighting the home’s roof.
“Our kids will never forget you stapling your glove to the roof of the garage,” she said. “I did do that, I did do that,” Russ chuckled.
The couple started small at their old house in Lincoln, with their young children inspiring them to
