MURRAY – Saturday will not be as frigid as originally predicted, but be warned: the cold front is still coming.

Justin Holland, Murray’s official government weather observer for the National Weather Service’s Paducah office, said Thursday that while the substance of the forecast has not changed , it has shifted about 24 hours later compared to what NWS predicted earlier in the week.

“It is going to be just as cold as was expected before, but everything is just going to slow down about 24 hours,” he said. “A cold front will be coming through Saturday night, and it should be a dry front, so I’m not expecting much in the way of precipitation.
