THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A prisoner was found to have committed suicide in the Poojappura Central Jail. He has been identified as Haridas (58) of Alappuzha. He entered work at the manufacturing unit inside the jail compound Friday morning at 7.30 am. He was later found hanging. He was immediately taken to the hospital but his life could not be saved. Haridas was sentenced to life by the Alappuzha court.
