Virgin Media customers across Greater Manchester have reported being without broadband amid a major outage. The service went down across several parts of the region on Thursday night (December 11).

Many customers are still without internet access, having reported waking up without the service this morning (Friday). Customers in areas including Newton Heath, Pendleton, Little Hulton, Broughton, Chadderton, Middleton and Walkden are among those who have reported being affected today.

Down Detector received a surge of reports about the problem late on Thursday night. Hundreds more reports about the issue have been made this morning, while customers have vented their fury about the issue on social media.
