A man accused of the manslaughter of a baby boy has appeared in court. Back in October 2023, the three-month-old baby, from Stafford, was taken to hospital.

Tragically, he died eight days later on October 20. Gareth Stark has now been charged with manslaughter and assault/ill-treat/neglect/abandon a child/young person to cause unnecessary suffering.

The 38-year-old, of Stafford, was remanded into custody following an appearance at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday, December 11. His next hearing will be before Stafford Crown Court on January 9, 2026.
