Directorate general of civil aviation (DGCA) has removed four senior flight operations inspectors (FOIs) who were responsible for overseeing IndiGo’s operations, as the country’s largest airline continues to grapple with a severe operational breakdown that has disrupted travel plans for lakhs of passengers. In an official order issued by the Union ministry of civil aviation, the regulator confirmed that the four inspectors — Rish Raj Chatterjee, Seema Jhamnani, Anil Kumar Pokhariyal and Priyam Kaushik — have been released from their posts with immediate effect and directed to return to their parent organisations. These officials had been serving as principal operations inspectors for IndiGo, with responsibilities tied to safety checks, crew monitoring and operational compliance.
