Little Rock Central's aggressive early season schedule is starting to pay off.

The Tigers took a 58-51 victory over Little Rock Hall on Thursday night in the Charles Ripley Holiday Classic at Mills. Little Rock Central led from just after the opening tip to the buzzer, though the Tigers had to handle a flurry of Hall buckets to maintain their lead late in the fourth quarter.

Thursday's game marked yet another stop on what has been an arduous slate of opponents for Central (4-4) that has included Class 7A programs Springdale Har-Ber and Fayetteville along with Mills, Little Rock Parkview, Fort Smith Northside and Allen, Texas. More is on the way, with Central slated to travel to Kansas City, Mo., for the Noble Classic before ending December at the King Cotton Classic in Pine Bluff.
