New Delhi, Dec 12 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Friday called for an urgent, bipartisan discussion in the parliament to address the alarming rise in air pollution across the country keeping politics aside.

Speaking to reporters outside the parliament, Gandhi highlighted the severe public health consequences of polluted air in India’s major cities.

“Many of our cities are shrouded in a toxic haze. Millions of children are suffering from lung diseases, their futures imperilled. Cancer rates are rising, and elderly citizens struggle for every breath,” Gandhi said emphatically. “This is not a matter of ideology.
