Strictly Come Dancing star Nick Knowles made his debut as a main host of Morning Live on Friday, stepping in alongside Janette Manrara

DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles has made his debut as a main host on Morning Live , taking the reins on Friday morning.

The BBC breakfast show is typically fronted by Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones , alongside various celebrity guests. Today, Nick was joined by Strictly: It Takes Two host Janette Manrara.

Opening the programme, Janette announced: "Hello and welcome to Morning Live, with Nick Knowles in the hot seat for the first time."

"It's me, hooray!" Nick responded enthusiastically, prompting Janette to joke: "It's like we're dancing, Nick."
