The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the mysterious death of Assam’s musical icon Zubeen Garg has submitted a detailed chargesheet before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court (Kamrup Metro), outlining major developments in the high-profile case. Garg passed away under suspicious circumstances on September 19, prompting state-wide shock and demands for a thorough investigation.

Senior advocate Bijan Mahajan while addressing the media with regards to the chargesheet filed today stated, "According to the 3,500-page chargesheet filed, four of the seven arrested individuals have been charged with murder under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Those booked under the section, which carries the maximum penalty of death or life imprisonment, include Northeast India Festival
