LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Department of Natural Resources says as of this week, the deer harvest is down compared to this time last year. Numbers are only down by 1.5 percent.
In the Midwest region, early data across several states reported harvests increasing by about 3 percent. This season, nearly 250,000 deer have been harvested already.
Clinton, Hillsdale and Jackson counties are the 7th, 8th and 9th highest harvesting counties in the state.
