LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan State University’s Board of Trustees will vote today on approving Pat Fitzgerald’s contract as the new Spartan head football coach.
MSU hired Fitzgerald as the new head coach after firing Jonathan Smith , who led the team for two seasons.
Fitzgerald’s five-year contract is worth $30 million.
The meeting will also include a short research presentation by MSU violin professor Dmitri Berlinsky, and plans to set up a new Advisory Committee for Responsible Investing.
Trustees will also consider starting the reconstruction of Farm Lane between Wilson Road and North Shaw Lane.
