PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Warmer than average temperatures will continue today and into the weekend for all of Arizona. Afternoon highs will continue to come close to records for this time of year.
In the Valley, look for an afternoon high of 79 degrees today, which would tie the previous record set in 2010. Saturday’s temperatures will warm to about 80 degrees, and a high of 81 degrees is expected on Sunday. That will break the previous record of 78 degrees for that date.
These temperatures are about 10 to 15 degrees above normal for this time of year. Afternoon temperatures are also running 10 to 20 degrees above normal in the high country. Flagstaff tied a record on Thursday at 68 degrees, and today the community will likely tie the record of 64 degrees, set back in 1921!
