King Charles is set to make a speech tonight (December 12) about his cancer journey . The monarch shared his diagnosis of an undisclosed form of the disease in February 2024, while the Princess of Wales has also been open with world about her own cancer diagnosis that same year. Now the King is supporting Channel 4 and Cancer Research UK’s Stand Up to Cancer campaign with a new video message.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed the King will make a speech at 8pm GMT tonight, which was recorded in advance two weeks prior. It will advocate for the importance of cancer screening checks to help the public catch the disease in its earlier stages. It is unlikely King Charles will tell the public which type of cancer he is facing.
