TRAVERSE CITY, MI – A five-story hotel could open as early as 2027 at Traverse City’s Cherry Capital Airport.

The proposed Cherry Capital Airport Hotel would include 89 rooms, a 5,000-square-foot event space, a rooftop bar, a restaurant, a coffee shop, and a skywalk connecting it to the airport’s planned future terminal, according to plans that Socks Construction presented this week to the Northwest Regional Airport Authority .

The hotel would accommodate overnight stays for airline crews and customers with early or delayed flights, documents show. An average year-round occupancy rate of 50-65% is projected.
