Isaiah Rider, a former player for the Los Angeles Lakers, was arrested by Gilbert police last week on suspicion of violating a protective order.
Rider, 54, was arrested on Dec. 4 and charged with one count of interfering with judicial proceedings when officers found him at a location prohibited by an order of protection, according to Gilbert police spokesperson Brenda Carrasco.
Interfering with judicial proceedings is a Class 1 misdemeanor in Arizona.
Carrasco said the case was being routed to Gilbert Municipal Court, although the case didn't appear on the court's website as of Dec. 11. It was not immediately clear when Rider was due back in court.
