CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Gov. Patrick Morrisey on Friday announced the awarding of more than $12.6 million in state grant funding for various water and sewer infrastructure projects across the state.

Among the grant recipients are two entities in Lewis County and one in Harrison County.

The Sun Valley PSD was awarded $1.9 million to extend water service to approximately 20 customers on Indian Run near Marshville with contaminated wells or wells gone dry. The primary project area is Salem in Harrison County and this water extension will add 20 customers to the currently 1,293 existing customer base.

The Lewis County EDA received an IJDC grant of $1 million to extend water service along US Rt. 33 east of Weston toward the Upshur County line serving homes, businesses, and future industrial user
