CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Public Service Commission (PSC) on Friday canceled an evidentiary hearing on a proposed Monongahela Power Co. and The Potomac Edison Co. rate adjustment after the utility companies and other parties filed a settlement agreement.

The PSC issued an order on Friday canceling the hearing, which had been scheduled to begin Monday. The cancellation came after all parties in the case filed a Joint Stipulation and Agreement for Settlement with the commission. The parties advised the commission that they had reached an agreement resolving all matters in the case on Thursday.

The case centered on the annual review and updates to the 2025 Expanded Net Energy Costs (ENEC), in which the companies proposed a $14,065,752 increase in ENEC rates. This proposal repres
