BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (WTVG) - A pregnant woman who said she lost her baby after being attacked by a Circle K clerk has filed a federal lawsuit against the employee, the gas station and its parent company.
Deria Francis Stukes, 40, was eight weeks pregnant when former clerk Shannon Walsh assaulted her at a Bowling Green Circle K in May, according to the lawsuit filed Monday in federal court. Stukes said the attack caused her to lose her baby.
“Losing a child, whether it was a full-blown baby or just a small fetus, you still lost a child and it way happened. It was really really traumatizing,” Stukes said.
The incident began when Stukes asked Walsh to cancel her transaction so she could use her Circle K fuel rewards to save money on gas. The family was traveling from South Carolina to Detr
