INDIANAPOLIS — Two men have been arrested after a deadly hit and run crash in Indianapolis.
Police say the men were racing cars near West Vermont Street and Lynhurst Drive when one of them hit a pickup truck on the morning of Thursday, Dec. 11.
The man driving the truck was turning onto Vermont Street when he was hit by the driver of a Ford Mustang going at what court documents call "a high rate of speed."
The crash threw both vehicles off of the road and seriously damaged both vehicles. The truck driver was trapped inside the truck, which burst into flames. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Marion County Coroner's Office has not yet identified the truck driver.
