BOISE, Idaho — A man faces multiple felony charges after an armed standoff with police in a Boise neighborhood Thursday night.

Ada County Sheriff's Office said deputies were sent to Saint Alphonsus Urgent Care at W. Lake Hazel Road and S. Five Mile Road after a patient reported an assault. Deputies determined that 35-year-old Christian Wood had physically attacked the victim and pointed a gun at them, ACSO said. ACSO said Wood also fired a round into a home and was reportedly under the influence at the time of the incident.

Deputies responded to Wood's location at a home in the 9800 block of W. Fox Ridge Drive where Wood reportedly refused to exit. Wood was reportedly armed and "implied that deputies would have to use lethal force."
