Days after being fired as Michigan's head football coach and detained by police, Sherrone Moore has been formally charged.

After spending two nights in jail, the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office announced that Moore, 39, has been hit with three charges following his arrest by Pittsfield Township Police.

Specifically, court documents say that Moore was charged with:

Third-degree home invasion (felony) "for allegedly unlawfully entering the victim's residence to commit the crime of stalking, and committing that crime while in the residence."

Stalking (misdemeanor) "for allegedly engaging in a willful course of conduct involving repeated or continuing harassment of the victim."

Breaking and entering or entering without breaking (misdemeanor) "for allegedly unlawfully entering the dwelling of a victim with whom Mr. Moore had a dating relationship."

Moore, who had led the Wolverines for two seasons, was dismissed for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, officials confirmed following his apprehension on Wednesday, Dec. 10, in Michigan.

He appeared virtually in court on Friday, Dec. 12, and was given a $25,000 bond by a judge, according to FOX. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in January 2026.

Moore will face five years in prison and up to $3,500 in fines if he is convicted.
