Jim Harbaugh once nominated Sherrone Moore as a “Michigan legend.” Now Harbaugh is not sure what to think of his former assistant.
“I’m still processing that,” Harbaugh told reporters in Los Angeles on Friday. “Still processing like a lot of people, I’m sure.”
Harbaugh, in his second season as the head coach of the NFL’s Chargers, held a press conference to preview Sunday’s game at Kansas City. He was asked once, but only once, about Moore.
Moore was Michigan’s coach until Wednesday afternoon, when the school announced he’d been fired for an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. Later that day, according to authorities, he went to the staffer’s residence and threatened to take his own life.
