HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Despite the frigid cold and snowy weather, Downtown Hazard is celebrating its annual Christmas in a Small Town event through Saturday.
The small town gathering offers free ice skating, shopping and food vendors, inflatables and holiday activities throughout downtown.
Perry County Judge Executive, Scott Alexander, said the event continues to grow year after year.
“It’s just great to get to see the families come out, bring their kids and get to enjoy all the events that’s going on here in downtown Hazard,” said Alexander.
Officials said the firework show on Saturday was cancelled due to weather, but all other festivities will continue, including the Christmas light parade at 6 p.m.
