The King has announced that his cancer treatment schedule will be scaled back in the New Year, nearly two years after his diagnosis.

Charles, 77, has been undergoing weekly treatment since discovering he had an undisclosed type of cancer in early 2024.

In a fresh message to the nation tonight, the monarch provided a significant update on his cancer journey, emphasising the importance of cancer screening programmes for early detection of the disease.

His message, recorded just over a week ago in the morning room at Clarence House, was aired on Channel 4 as part of its Stand Up To Cancer campaign.
