HARDIN COUNTY, Texas — A 17-year-old driver has been arrested following a fatal crash that killed a teenage passenger on Sap Graveyard Road, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS troopers investigated the crash, which occurred around 3 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024. A 2007 Ford F-150 was traveling north when the driver was speeding on a dirt gravel road and lost control, DPS said.
The pickup traveled into the west ditch, hit a tree and overturned.
The driver, identified as William Gavan Miller, 17, of Kountze, was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Jail records show Miller was later arrested and booked into the Hardin County Jail.
